Hey everyone! Tara here π Welcome back to my blog, I hope you’re all having a good Monday. This is officially the last week of school before Christmas, and I’m so excited!!
However, with the end of term comes a big rush. Assignments that should’ve been done weeks ago are now suddenly handed out by teachers to finish in a day’s time, there are tests cropping up left, right, and center, and in general everything is very last-minute.
I’ve unfortunately had a really bad time over the last week in terms of workload – and that has led to me missing almost an entire week of Blogmas. I feel terrible, because I had so many fun posts planned. But there just ended up being no time to get them written and polished and uploaded, and now here we are.
The good news is, exams are OFFICIALLY FINISHED. Well, I do have a chemistry test tomorrow, but it’s nothing important. After that, we have a whole three weeks until my next important exam. Yay ππ
Other fun things have been happening, too. Sunday was the best day of my life, hands down! My best friend and I went for a trip to a huge Christmas market, and it was SO FUN! β€ We took the train there, somehow managed to arrive on time (despite missing a bus earlier), and then spent the day doing all sorts of crazy things – going on wintery rides, taking cute pictures with the Christmas lights, buying overpriced but delicious hot chocolate, visiting Urban Outfitters for some shopping, and also experiencing my first ever Wagamama! It was so good, and I’d have to recommend the duck lettuce wraps if you’re ever stopping by π
After such an incredible day, there was more to look forward to! We headed to the local pantomime with my dance school, and I got to sit next to my aforementioned bestie plus my dance teacher, who is a total babe. The panto was hilarious! Took some more cute selfies and ate ice cream during the interval. We had such a good time and I’m forever grateful for such an amazing day.
Things haven’t been going so well lately, but then I look at days like these and remember just how lucky I am, and just how much I have to be happy about. And even in the darkest times it’s memories like these that lift me up and spur me on, because being surrounded by friends is the best thing anyone could ask for.
There’s also been some bad. Last week, my dad was involved in a car crash, which led to a whole string of problems. Thank goodness he’s okay, and no one was hurt. But it was definitely a shock, and that day was so chaotic that I just didn’t have the time or motivation to sit down and edit a post, which probably kickstarted the cycle I’ve fallen into.
But enough about me! Tell me in the comments how y’all are doing – I’d love to know what you’ve been up to recently. It’s always awesome to talk to fellow bloggers, teens, or just humans, and find out what others are experiencing at the moment! β€
Besides all that, I’ve been planning a few things for this blog in 2020, because I’m going to try my hardest to maintain a posting schedule and not let things get too hectic, especially during April/May time (where the final exams take place). I’m really looking forward to showing you all what I’m planning, but for now rest assured that I’m still working on Blogmas and I’m doing my best to continue posting daily from now on!
Basically, WE HAVE NINE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS AND I’M SO EXCITED!! And there’s more to look forward to – bowling with the family, the annual Christmas party for the kids in my dance school which I’ve volunteered to help at (in the hope that one of the 86 chocolate selection boxes we wrapped on Saturday will go spare… π), and loads more!
I hope you’re all looking forward to Christmas, or whichever holiday you celebrate, too! Wishing you and your families the best right now β€ Have an amazing rest of your evening, and I’ll (hopefully) see you tomorrow!
Tara x

It really was! We had so much fun, and I’m really lucky to have had such an incredible time! Also felt very independent, getting on trains and not ending up in the wrong country or something! π
Thank you for that, and me too. Things could’ve gone far worse but I’m glad it worked out.
Aw thank you!! And the same to you, Maggie. Have an amazing break β€ β€
